Mass. Air Guard conducting training over NH skies

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — If it sounds a little busy in the skies above parts of New Hampshire and Massachusetts, it's because some fighter jet pilots are taking part in a training exercise.
F-15 fighter jets from the 104th Fighter Wing in Westfield, Mass., are conducting maneuvers with Civil Air Patrol propeller aircraft through noon Thursday.
National Guard officials say the exercise is focused on intercept procedures, ensuring the Massachusetts Air National Guard is prepared to defend the Northeast airspace against any airborne threat.
The guard said the communities of Keene, Jaffrey, Peterborough and some border towns in north-central Massachusetts may experience increased aircraft activity.
