MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. (AP) _ Bonnie intensified and became a hurricane again late Thursday night as it slogged back toward the Atlantic. The storm dropped more than 10 inches of rain over parts of North Carolina.
Bonnie had been downgraded to a tropical storm when its winds dropped below 74 mph Thursday, but winds picked up when the center of the storm reached Kitty Hawk on the Outer Banks.
