MADRID, Spain (AP) _ Ian Woosnam of Wales shot a final-round 66 to finish at 19-under-par 269 and win the $268,950 Madrid Open Golf Tournament Sunday at the Puerta de Hierro course.

The 29-year-old Woosnam finished three strokes ahead of Wayne Grady of Australia, who closed with an 8-under-par 64 for a 72-hole score of 272. Seve Ballesteros of Spain was third at 269 after shooting 66.

Woosnam's scores were 67-67-69-66, and he earned $16,871 for the victory. Grady earned $11,239, and Ballesteros picked up $6,337.

Nick Faldo of England was fourth with 64-274, and Jose Rivero of Spain finished at 277 for fifth after shooting a final-round 68.

Ove Sellberg shot 69-281 to finish 12 strokes back. John Bland of South Africa, Mark Mouland of Wales and Ronand Rafferty of Ireland were in a group at 282. Bland shot 71, while Mouland and Rafferty had 69s.

Michael Allen was the top American finisher at 289 with rounds of 70-71-73-75.
