Mar. 06, 2018
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — A New Jersey man found to have more than 36,000 videos and images of child pornography when he was arrested as part of a major state crackdown has pleaded guilty to distributing child porn.
Anthony White also pleaded guilty Tuesday to attempting to manufacture child porn. The state attorney general's office will recommend that the 31-year-old Lakewood man receive a six-year state prison term when he's sentenced May 8.
White will also have to register as a sex offender and will be on lifetime parole supervision.
White was among 40 men arrested in 2016 during "Operation Statewide." That multiagency investigation was led by the state's Internet Crimes Against Children task force, which includes state police, the Division of Criminal Justice and the U.S. Homeland Security department.
