JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Authorities have arrested a fifth person suspected in the shooting death of a 7-year-girl who was sitting in a car with her father outside a Florida store.
Jacksonville Sheriff's officials announced the arrest in a tweet that said "five sought, five captured."
Heidy Rivas Villanueva was struck by a stray bullet Aug. 11 when gunfire broke out between two groups of people as the girl waited in a car with her father for her mother.
Records show 28-year-old Edward Robert Garcia was arrested Wednesday night on an accessory after the fact charge. His mother Kezia Luckey Holmes is charged with tampering with evidence.
Others arrested include 21-year-old Abrion Maurice Price, 19-year-old Stanley Tyron Harris III and a 17-year-old. They face multiple charges. Records don't list lawyers for them.
