DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) _ Derrick Dial pumped in a game-high 26 points and led five players in double figures Saturday as Eastern Michigan beat Drake 96-81.

The Eagles (3-0) led 69-60 with 7:46 left in the game. But Drake (0-2) rallied to a 75-75 tie with 4:37 to play. Kevin Bennett scored eight of his team-high 24 points during that 15-6 run.

Eastern Michigan then took control with eight unanswered points, including two layups off steals by Earl Boykins.

Boykins finished with 19 points. Nkechi Ezugwu had 15 points, reserve James Head added 14 and Jon Zajac 13 for the Eagles, who shot 65 percent for the game compared to 48 percent for Drake.

The Eagles outrebounded the Bulldogs 42-18 and got 11 boards each from Head and Ezugwu.

Rashaad Thomas scored 22 points and Lynnrick Rogers added 12 for Drake
