Japanese Government To Buy Two Boeing 747 Jumbo Jets

TOKYO (AP) _ The Japanese government said Thursday it would purchase two Boeing 747 jumbo jets in a deal worth $269 million.
Chief Cabinet Secretary Masaharu Gotoda told a news conference the jets are to be delivered by Boeing Co. of Seattle in 1991.
The jets are to be used by government leaders on overseas trips, Gotoda said.
