BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) _ National Commerce Corp. (NCOM) on Tuesday reported second-quarter net income of $10.7 million.

The bank, based in Birmingham, Alabama, said it had earnings of 61 cents per share.

The bank holding company posted revenue of $42.4 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $38.1 million, missing Street forecasts.

National Commerce shares have climbed 17 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $47.20, an increase of 18 percent in the last 12 months.
