New contracts for Davis Cup and Fed Cup captains

PARIS (AP) — The French Tennis Federation has given new two-year contracts to Davis Cup captain Arnaud Clement and Fed Cup captain Amelie Mauresmo.
Players from both teams were consulted before the decision was made, the FFT said in a statement Tuesday.
Clement led France to this year's Davis Cup final, where the French were soundly beaten 3-1 by a Switzerland team featuring 17-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer and Australian Open winner Stanislas Wawrinka.
France opens its 2015 Davis Cup campaign with a first-round match at home to Germany in March.
Mauresmo, a two-time Grand Slam champion, helped France gain promotion back to the world group after the French came back from 2-1 down to defeat the United States 3-2.
France's Fed Cup campaign opens away to Italy in February.
