WEST TISBURY, Mass. (AP) _ A small plane carrying John F. Kennedy, Jr., to Martha's Vineyard was reported missing early today, an airport official said.

Jamie Gaspar, an operations specialist at Martha's Vineyard Airport, said Kennedy's plane was supposed to arrive Friday night, but never did.

It wasn't immediately known how many passengers were aboard. Other details about the plane were unavailable.

``I'm a little worried, because I know him personally,'' said Gaspar, who said he was told the plane took off from an airport in New Jersey.
