Catcher Kirt Manwaring will miss at least two weeks and possibly the rest of the season with a broken left foot. New X-rays of Manwaring's bruised left foot disclosed a hairline fracture on the outside of the arch. Team trainer Mark Letendre said Manwaring is undergoing therapy on the foot, which is not in a cast, but is not guaranteed a spot on the postseason roster. Manwaring, 24, the Giants' opening day catcher, is hitting .209 with no homers and 18 runs batted in. San Francisco has three other catchers on the roster: Terry Kennedy, Bob Brenly and rookie Bill Bathe.
