BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The Lewis and Clark Riverboat on the Missouri River in Bismarck has been burglarized for a second time in a month.
Police tell The Bismarck Tribune that someone last week broke the window of a door to the main cabin, causing $300 worth of damage, and took nearly $500 worth of items including $200 worth of alcohol.
The riverboat also was burglarized in late July, when someone smashed a side window to gain entry and stole $300 in cash. Damage in that break-in was estimated at $460.
The Lewis and Clark Riverboat is owned and operated by the Fort Abraham Lincoln Foundation, a nonprofit that aims to preserve and promote the history of Fort Lincoln.
