LIVERPOOL, England (AP) _ A requiem Mass for the toddler kidnapped from a shopping center will be held Monday, the family announced.

Merseyside County Coroner Roy Barter on Tuesday released the body of 2- year-old James Bulger to his family, a day after two 10-year-old boys made their first court appearance on murder charges.

Lawyers for the suspects waived their right to independent autopsies.

Press Association, the British news agency, said the requiem Mass would be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Church in Liverpool. Burial will be at Kirkdale Cemetery.

Speaking on behalf of James's parents Ralph, 26, and Denise, 25, attorney Sean Sexton said: ''The Bulger family wish to thank the public for their tremendous support at this very difficult time but would ask that there be family flowers only at the funeral.''

The family asked that any memorial donations be made to the Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool.
