NEW DELHI, India (AP) _ An overloaded truck carrying bananas and a large group of farm workers to a marketplace in India collapsed, killing at least 20 people and injuring 15 others, domestic news agencies reported Monday.

The accident happened Sunday night near the coastal town of Tuticorin, 1,300 miles south of the capital, New Delhi.

Most of the victims were crushed to death, the Press Trust of India reported. Police said the death toll was likely to rise.
