CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — A New Hampshire lawmaker is seeking to promote what she says is an increasingly popular hobby and growing industry in the state: tabletop gaming.
Tabletop gaming refers to common family games like Monopoly, strategy games, chess and more. Rep. Kristina Schultz, a Concord Democrat, says New Hampshire has multiple game manufacturers, gaming clubs and soon will have a tabletop gaming cafe.
A bill she sponsored to declare April 7 as Tabletop Gaming Day in the state passed the House on Thursday. It now goes to the Senate.
