May. 12, 2018
BERLIN, Vt. (AP) — Vermont state government is holding its annual auction of surplus vehicles and equipment.
The auction takes place Saturday at the Agency of Transportation's central garage on US Route 302 in Berlin.
Organizers say the collection includes dump, plow, pick-up and box trucks; police cruisers, cargo vans, boats, four wheelers, snowmobiles, kayaks, riding mowers, tools, generators and miscellaneous parts.
This year 16 paddle boats will be on the auction block.
Registration and a preview of the equipment happens from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. when the auction starts.
Terry Lamos, the state's surplus property manager, says, "Finding new homes for this equipment is a win-win for the state and countless communities, contractors and members of the public."
