Chicago, Illinois, June 16, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hologram USA Networks Inc. today announced a partnership with Chicago’s historic Avalon Regal Theater to install its patented hologram technology on a permanent basis, allowing live artists to be “beamed” in by telepresence, and for performances by Hologram USA’s recreated stars from the past. The Avalon Regal and the Hologram USA theater in Los Angeles, will be the first full time dedicated hologram theaters in the United States, and their launch kicks off a campaign to build and install 100 theaters nationwide. The network of theaters will be supported by Hologram USA Networks and the FilmOn TV and FOTV Media Group.

Work has begun on the landmark theater to create a hologram stage. The grand opening will take place on October 1st, 2017 with an all star show of both living and deceased artists. The Avalon Regal Theater was built on the South Side in 1927. Its exotic, Middle Eastern fantasy architecture by architect John Eberson, served as a vaudeville theater, a movie palace, and hosted live shows by artists ranging from Louis Armstrong to James Brown. It’s new owners has invested $1 million in a massive renovation intended to create a cultural touchstone in the neighborhood not far from the site of the Barack Obama Presidential Library.
