DENVER (AP) _ Denver Nuggets forward Calvin Natt was back in the hospital on Wednesday, undergoing treatment for phlebitis in his left calf.
A Nuggets spokesman said Natt was being given medication to thin his blood and improve his circulation.
Natt underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee a week ago. He was expected to be sidelined about three weeks, but the latest medical problem may delay his return by another week, the spokesman said.
Natt has been dogged by injury the past 14 months. He tore his Achilles tendon in the first game of the 1986-87 season and did not return. Then he severely burned his left arm in a cooking accident at home last summer. He played early this season but missed 10 games before having the arthroscopic surgery last week.
