BOSTON (AP) — Police are searching for a man they say kidnapped a 7-month-old girl outside Boston's Prudential Center. The girl was found safe several hours later and reunited with her mother.

Police say Jayden Warren was with her mother and two sisters Friday evening when the suspect, Damond Brown, fled with her when the others went into an ice cream shop.

Police say the 40-year-old Brown is in a relationship with Jayden's mother but isn't the baby's father. They say he didn't have permission to take Jayden. An Amber Alert was issued.

Police say the baby was found unharmed in the Mission Hill neighborhood, where Brown had abandoned the car police were seeking. He remains at large.

Warrants on assault and battery and drug distribution charges have been issued for his arrest.
