Del Valle KOs Butler in 4th Round

YONKERS, N.Y. (AP) _ Lou Del Valle, former WBA light heavyweight champion, stopped Earl Butler in the fourth round of a scheduled 10-round bout at Yonkers Raceway on Wednesday night.
Del Valle, of the Bronx, N.Y., fought for the first time in 15 months and knocked out Butler, of Phoenix, with a hard right to the chin 41 seconds into the round.
Del Valle, 188 pounds, improved to 30-2, including 21 knockouts. Butler, also 188, dropped to 20-12-2.
Undefeated lightweight Martin O'Malley of Ireland extended his streak to 16-0, including 14 knockouts, with a unanimous eight-round decision over Awel Abdulai.
Abdulai, of Las Vegas, dropped to 8-15.
