Dec. 17, 1987
LANCASTER, Calif. (AP) _ A woman was arrested in the stabbing death of her 4-year-old son after a caller to a religious TV program confessed, deputies said.
About 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, a caller from the ''700 Club'' religious program reported that Andra Jeane Reynolds ''had called the '700 Club' hot line and said she'd just killed her son,'' Los Angeles County sheriff's Deputy Van Mosely said.
Deputies found her son, Richard, in the bedroom, stabbed repeatedly in the upper torso, Mosely said. Ms. Reynolds, 29, was booked for investigation of murder early Thursday and was held without bail.
Two dogs and three puppies were found drowned in a bathroom, Mosely said.
