High School Student Dies In Parking Lot Near School

DETROIT (AP) _ A 17-year-old boy was fatally shot in the head Thursday outside a high school on the city's west side, police said.
An 18-year-old man was wounded and was in serious condition at Detroit Receiving Hospital, where the other youth was dead on arrival, said police Sgt. Christopher Buck.
The older victim was shot inside Murray Wright High School, while the slain youth was shot apparently while running from the school, Buck said. The shootings occurred at about noon.
The names of the victims were not released pending notification of relatives.
A teen-ager was being questioned by investigators, Buck said.
The 17-year-old was shot in the head and the 18-year-old in the face, Buck said.
