Nov. 30, 2017
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles County authorities say two sisters, ages 11 and 12, who went missing this week have been found safe, and their father has been arrested for allegedly hiding them.
The girls were last seen Monday leaving their home in Lancaster. Authorities said their mother told investigators that the girls could be with their father, whose last known address was in Oregon.
The sisters and their father were found in Los Angeles County, but details about the circumstances were not released.
Officials say 30-year-old Deshaun Carter was arrested on suspicion of child concealment. It wasn't immediately known if he has an attorney.
The girls were returned home unharmed Wednesday night.
