ATLANTA (AP) _ Jane Fonda can't bear to part with a designer dress she promised to auction after wearing it to the March 26 Academy Awards.

``I've fallen in love with it,'' she said of the strapless satin dress, designed by Vera Wang.

Fonda announced earlier this month the dress would go to the highest bidder at a June 27 movie premiere at the Fox Theatre. She said the proceeds would go to Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention, which Fonda founded in 1995.

``I've changed my mind. I'm not auctioning it off after all,'' Fonda said. ``Seriously, I can't just wear this dress for 10 minutes on Oscar night and then turn it over to someone else yet.''

Fonda, scheduled to be a presenter at the Oscars, said she may be willing to auction the dress in 2001. Premiere-goers will still be able bid on a vacation with Fonda to her and estranged husband Ted Turner's Montana ranch. Turner won't be there.
