LATROBE, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say a 17-year-old youth is facing charges in the shooting death of a 15-year-old in a Pennsylvania apartment.

Officials in Westmoreland County told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review (http://bit.ly/2vKPNLC ) that Devin Capasso was shot once in the upper torso in the Latrobe unit Tuesday night. Two stolen firearms, one believed to have been used in the shooting, were found nearby.

Latrobe police chief James Bumar said the two youths knew each other and there was no record of any animosity.

Authorities say the defendant will face charges of homicide, carrying a firearm without a license, theft and receiving stolen property.

Officials said Capasso had just started his freshman year at Greater Latrobe High School. Assistant superintendent Georgia Teppert called him "a pleasant, nice student who had a lot of friends."
