— STRAY BULLET-GIRL STRUCK — Authorities say a stray bullet struck and injured a 5-year-old girl as she walked with her father in New Jersey's largest city.
— RESCUED SWIMMER DIES — A swimmer who was unconscious when he was pulled from ocean waters off the southern New Jersey coast has died.
— PICKUP RUNS OVER DRIVER — Authorities say a pickup truck driver attempting to push a disabled vehicle onto a trailer was struck and seriously injured when the pickup rolled over him.
— BOAT CAPSIZES-CHILDREN RESCUED — Authorities say 13 people — including several children — were rescued after a boat capsized in waters off southern New Jersey.
— KAYAKER SEARCH — Rescue crews in Vermont are expected to resume their search for a New Jersey kayaker who was last seen holding onto his overturned yellow kayak on Lake Champlain.
