LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Dudley Moore, the comic movie drunk in ''Arthur'' and unlikely leading man opposite Bo Derek in ''10,'' was honored Wednesday with a sidewalk star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The star honoring the dinimuitive Moore was unveiled in front of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard, between stars already dedicated to Louis Armstrong and Mary Margret McBride.
Moore, 52, was cheered by 300 fans, friends and tourists gathered for the afternoon ceremony. Also witnessing the 1,855th star unveiled on the Walk of Fame was Moore's girlfriend, Brogan Lane.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce presents sidewalk stars to celebrities after a sponsor nominates them and pays $3,500. The sponsor, which in Moore's case was Tri-Star Pictures, must also guarantee the celebrity will appear at the installation ceremony.
A chamber committee then selects the recipients.
