TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) _ Albert Belle hit another three-run homer and Greg Swindell pitched six strong innings Sunday as the Cleveland Indians beat the Oakland Athletics 11-4.
Todd Burns walked two batters in the third before Belle hit his second three-run homer in three days, his fourth home run of the spring. Cleveland has scored 61 runs in 15 games and 25 have come in two games against the Athletics.
Swindell (1-0) allowed three runs and five hits, struck out three and walked none. Burns (0-1) gave up six runs and six hits in four innings and walked four.
Oakland scored two unearned runs in the first on a two-base error by center fielder Mitch Webster and Terry Steinbach's RBI single. Cleveland tied the score in the second when left fielder Willie Wilson lost Ron Kittle's fly in the sun, allowing one run to score, and Kittle scored on Brook Jacoby's sacrifice fly.
Belle's homer made it 5-2 in the third. Cleveland added a run in the fourth and broke open the game with four runs in the seventh off Dan Eskew, two on Beau Allred's triple. Jose Escobar hit an RBI triple off Johnny Guzman in the eighth.
Brad Komminsk hit a sacrifice fly in Oakland's sixth and Pete Coachman hit a run-scoring single in the seventh.
