MANCHESTER, England (AP) — West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison has been released on bail pending a hearing into charges he assaulted two women.
The 21-year-old former Manchester United player had been held in custody since last Thursday.
He was arrested after allegedly punching and slapping his former 19-year-old girlfriend and her 39-year-old mother.
Morrison was released Monday when a judge granted bail following a private court hearing.
He is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
