CHICAGO (AP) _ The Chicago Blackhawks signed forward Michael Nylander and Swiss forward Reto Von Arx on Monday.

Nylander, 27, had 24 goals and 30 assists in 77 games for Chicago last season. He was acquired from the Tampa Bay Lightning last November for Reid Thompson and Bryan Muir.

Nylander will earn $1.25 million in the first year of the three-year deal, $1.45 million in the second and $1.65 million in the final season.

Van Arx, 23, was selected in the ninth round of the June entry draft. He had 19 goals and 26 assists in 45 games for Davos of the Swedish League last season.
