BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The driver of a ride-hailing company is accused of sexually assaulting a woman using the service in North Dakota.
Corey Wickman, of Mandan, is charged with assaulting a woman he picked up at Lonesome Dove bar and grill in Mandan about 1 a.m. Saturday. The woman told police the defendant stopped her from opening the car door when they arrived at her home in Bismarck, then assaulted her.
The 39-year-old Lyft driver is charged with two felonies, including gross sexual imposition by force and is being held on $500,000 bond.
Lyft said in a statement Tuesday that it has reached out to the passenger to extend support and assistance. It says the driver was banned as soon as the company learned of the case.
