Soldier Killed in Iraq Identified

WASHINGTON (AP) _ The Defense Department has identified Spc. Paul T. Nakamura of Santa Fe Springs, Calif., as the soldier who died in Iraq Thursday when the vehicle he was traveling in was hit by a rocket-propelled grenade.
Nakamura, 21, was part of an ambulance crew transporting an injured soldier when the vehicle was hit, the Pentagon said Friday. Two other soldiers were wounded in the attack, which occurred on a highway in al-Iskandariyah, about 20 miles south of Baghdad.
Nakamura was assigned to the 437th Medical Company, based in Colorado Springs, Colo.
