Man convicted of child enticement charge back behind bars
Sep. 23, 2015
ATTLEBORO, Mass. (AP) — A man who was on probation after serving time for trying to entice a 12-year-old girl into sending him nude photographs of herself is back behind bars for cutting off a GPS device and contacting another underage girl.
A judge Tuesday ordered 32-year-old Peter Campobasso of Medford to serve the 18-month balance of a 2 ½-year prison term.
He was arrested in April 2014 by Mansfield police.
After he was released from prison earlier this year, Campobasso cut off his GPS bracelet in Boston in April and threw it in a trash can before contacting the girl.
The Sun Chronicle (http://bit.ly/1NM6V9e ) reports that Campobasso said "absolutely" when the judge asked him whether the allegation was true.
Campobasso is classified as a Level 3 sex offender, considered the most likely to re-offend.
