DEERFIELD, Mass. (AP) — A Deerfield man has been found guilty of motor vehicle homicide for a 2013 accident that killed an 83-year-old Montague woman.

The Recorder ( ) reports that Aaron Stark was convicted of vehicular homicide by reckless operation and being a minor in possession of liquor after a weeklong bench trial, but was acquitted of manslaughter.

Stark's sentencing was postponed pending the results of a pre-sentencing evaluation.

Prosecutors say Stark's car crossed the center line in Deerfield on Nov. 4, 2013 and struck a car driven by Celia Allen. Allen was pronounced dead at the scene. Skid marks suggested that Stark left his lane before the crash and applied the brakes heavily.

Stark, then 19, was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield for treatment of injuries.
