BALTIMORE (AP) _ Ms. Rutledge rallied down the center of the track to post a two-length upset over Nasty Affair in the $39,500 Summertime Stakes before 12,658 at Pimlico Race Course Sunday.

The 15-1 shot registered her first stakes victory for owner Herman Greenberg of Middleburg, Va., by completing six furlongs in 1:11 with jockey Alberto Delgado.

Nasty Affair finished in a neck ahead of Cutlasee. Cagey Exuberance, the 3-5 favorite in the field of nine 3-year-old fillies, was fifth after leading briefly early in the stretch.

Ms. Rutledge paid $33.80, $11.20 and $10.60 and earned $27,675. Nasty Affair returned $4.60 and $4, Cutlasee was $10.60 to show.
