LOS ANGELES (AP) _ A man killed his estranged wife and her boyfriend, then led police on a 90-minute chase until he pulled over near a relative's home and fatally shot himself in the head Saturday, authorities said.

The man's two teen-age sons were inside the home but did not see the suicide, Officer Mike Partain said.

Officials did not release the names of the dead.

About 8 a.m., the bodies of the man's estranged wife and her boyfriend were found shot to death inside a parked car in the Eagle Rock area, Partain said.

Witnesses saw a red car speed away from the scene. The car was spotted by police nearly two hours later, but the driver refused officers' orders to stop.

Police pursued the man across the city, even passing in front of LAPD headquarters at one point, until he exited the Santa Monica Freeway, parked and shot himself, Lt. Anthony Alba said.
