FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — Germany coach Joachim Loew has called up Hamburger SV defender Marcell Jansen and Borussia Moenchengladbach midfielder Patrick Herrmann to replenish his depleted squad for the World Cup qualifying match against Kazakhstan.
Tuesday's game in Nuremberg follows Germany*s 3-0 win against the same opponents in Astana on Friday.
The Group C leaders lost two players in that game with attacking midfielder Julian Draxler sustaining a concussion and midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger picking up a suspension.
Loew already called up Borussia Dortmund midfielder Sven Bender on Saturday. Bender missed the game in Kazakhstan because of the flu.
