INABE, Japan (AP) _ Japan's Suzuko Maeda overcame a six-stroke deficit in the final round of the Yukijirushi Ladies Tokai Classic on Sunday, closing with two birdies for a 6-under-par 66 and a one-stroke victory.

Maeda, 29, who earned $98,000 for her second victory of the year and fourth on the Japan LPGA Tour, had a 6-under 210 total on the Ryosen Country Club course. Japan's Aiko Hashimoto shot a 70 to finish second.

``I hit the ball real solid,'' said Maeda, who had seven birdies and a bogey in the final round. ``I could play relaxed with little strain.''

Second-round leader Ayako Okamoto, seeking her 61st career victory, shot a 76 to tie for sixth at 214.
