Serra Lake Wins at Aqueduct

NEW YORK (AP) _ Serra Lake got up in the final strides under John Velazquez to win by a neck Friday in Aqueduct's $54,000 allowance feature for older fillies and mares.
Strolling Belle, the favorite in the field of five, was second, 2 1/2 lengths ahead of Reine Amandine.
The win was the second in three starts this year for Serra Lake, covered 1 1/8 miles in 1:50:2 on the fast track to earn the $32,400 winner's share of the $54,000 purse for Emory A. Hamilton.
Serra Lake returned $11.20, $3.50 and $2.10. Strolling Belle paid $2.40 and $2.10 and Reine Amandine was $2.20.
