RADFORD, Va. (AP) _ Errol McPherson hit three of four free throws in the final 14 seconds of overtime Monday as Charleston Southern beat Radford 87-85.
Radford (13-12, 7-6 Big South Conference) rallied from a 14-point second-half deficit to send the game into overtime. Two free throws by Radford's Anthony Walker with 16 seconds left tied the score at 76 at the end of regulation.
Charleston Southern (14-11, 9-4) took the lead in overtime on Winston Gordon's driving layup at 3:13. A layup by Brett Larrick at 1:49 gave Charleston Southern a 83-80 advantage, setting the stage for McPherson's free throws.
Charleston Southern shot 59 percent from the field to Radford's 42 percent.
T.L. Latson led Charleston Southern with 21 points. Larrick scored 20, McPherson 18 and Gordon 10.
Jason Landsdown led Radford with 18 points.
