SEATTLE (AP) _ Lauren Jackson matched her career high with 27 points and set a best with 14 rebounds as the Seattle Storm beat the Phoenix Mercury 66-57 on Saturday night.
The 22-year-old Australian star became the youngest player in WNBA history to reach 1,000 career points, finishing the game with 1,018. Jackson also became Seattle's career rebounding leader, finishing with 437 to pass Simone Edwards (424).
Sandy Brondello added 12 points for Seattle (2-3), and Kamila Vodichkova had 10 points and five rebounds.
Anna DeForge led Phoenix (1-6) with a career-high 16 points, and Adrian Williams added 10. The Mercury have lost 19 of their last 20 road games.
