Driver Killed at Trans-Am Series

BOWMANVILLE, Ontario (AP) _ Mike Gagliardo was killed Sunday in a two-car crash during the Trans-Am Series 125 at Mosport International Raceway.
Race officials said the other driver, Gary Longo, was listed in critical condition after being airlifted to Sunnybrook Medical Center in Toronto.
The cars driven by Gagliardo and Gary Longo collided between the first and second turns on the 38th lap of the 50-lap race.
Gagliardo was transported to Lakeridge Health Center in Bowmanville, where he was pronounced dead.
The race was won by pole-sitter Paul Gentilozzi.
