Mexico says it's working hard to find 3 missing Italian men
Feb. 19, 2018
MEXICO CITY (AP) — Officials in western Mexico say they are trying to find three Italian men who have been missing since around the end of January.
The interior secretary of the western state of Jalisco said the men had been on some kind of business trip when they disappeared in the town of Tecatitlan, Jalisco.
Roberto Lopez Lara said Monday that federal organized crime prosecutors may take over the case of the missing men. Federal prosecutors usually take over such cases when they involve organized crime or illegal weapons possession, both of which are federal offenses.
Search posters distributed online in Mexico identified the men as Raffaele Russo, 60; his son Antonio Russo, 25, and his nephew Vincenzo Cimmino, 29, all from the Naples area.
