ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) _ Clemson cornerback Ryan Hemby was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

The 20-year-old Hemby was arrested early Friday outside a nightclub, police said. He was released on his own recognizance after posting bond and is due in court Jan. 28.

Hemby played in five games this year and made three tackles. Clemson coach Tommy Bowden said Sunday he hadn't spoken to Hemby yet and didn't know whether any disciplinary action would be taken.

The Tigers (7-5) accepted a bid Sunday to play in the Tangerine Bowl on Dec. 23 in Orlando, Fla.
