TOLLESON, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say six people including three children and a teenager have been seriously injured in a two-car collision in Tolleson, west of Phoenix.

Phoenix police say the accident occurred early Sunday and all six of the injured were taken to trauma centers.

They say the injured were three boys ages 8, 10 and 12 and a 15-year-old girl.

The women driving each car — ages 23 and 28 — also were transported to hospitals with serious injuries.

Police say they were told by witnesses that one of the vehicles went over a median and collided with the other car.

Impairment isn't considered a factor in the crash, which police say is under investigation.
