Gannett Announces Seven Executive Appointments

WASHINGTON (AP) _ Vincent E. Spezzano is the new chairman of Gannett Rochester (N.Y.) Newspapers, the company's newspaper division says in a statement announcing six other executive appointments.
David J. Mack, who had been president and publisher of the Binghamton (N.Y.) Press & Sun-Bulletin, succeeds Spezzano as president and publisher in Rochester, the Gannett Co. statement released Monday said.
Bernard M. Griffin, formerly president and publisher of the St. Cloud (Minn.) Times, succeeds Mack in Binghamtom and as a regional vice president for Gannett.
Sonja S. Craig, former president and publisher of the Wausau (Wis.) Daily Herald, succeeds Griffin in St. Cloud. Frederick T. Jacobi, a former regional circulation director for the newspaper division, succeeds Ms. Craig in Wausau.
Mary Parks Stier, president and publisher of the Iowa City (Iowa) Press- Citizen, and Denise H. Bannister, president and publisher of the Huntington (W.Va.) Herald-Dispatch, were appointed regional vice presidents of Gannett.
