— SHEPARD ANNIVERSARY-UNIVERSITY — The University of Wyoming has announced numerous events to mark the 20th anniversary of Matthew Shepard's death this fall. UW President Laurie Nichols said Monday that the commemoration reflects how Shepard's death in 1998 shaped the community.
— FRONTIER DAYS-ATTENDANCE— Cheyenne Frontier Days organizers say overall attendance increased by about 9,000 over last year.
— DUNN COUNTY FATAL-ID — Authorities have identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash in western North Dakota's Dunn County. The Highway Patrol says 25-year-old Gregory Lehto from Wheatland, Wyoming, lost control of his bike on a curve on state Highway 22 shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday. He crashed in the ditch west of Killdeer and died at the scene.
LARAMIE — Raghib "Rocket" Ismail Jr. already shares a name with his father, a former NFL receiver/returner and a Heisman runner-up at Notre Dame.
