CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) _ U.S. District Judge Linda Reade had a chance to see the courtroom from a different perspective _ but she didn't make the cut.

Reade was called for jury duty on Monday in a criminal case in Linn County District Court.

When prosecutor Jerry Vander Sanden asked jurors if any of them knew him, Reade replied that she did. He then asked Reade if she would have any problem sitting in judgment.

``I do it every day,'' Reade said.

Although she was rejected for the jury, Reade wasn't too disappointed: ``One judge per courtroom is enough.''
