COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) _ The expansion Columbus Blue Jackets have their first U.S.-born player, former Boston College forward Blake Bellefeuille.

The team and Bellefeuille's Boston-based agent, Bob Murray, declined to give terms of the two-year deal signed Wednesday.

The 5-foot-10, 208-pound Bellefeuille (pronounced BELL-fay) scored 78 goals and had 96 assists in 159 games at Boston College, helping the Eagles to three consecutive appearances in the NCAA Frozen Four.

Bellefeuille, a 22-year-old from Framingham, Mass., was the NCAA West Regional MVP after scoring two goals and adding an assist in wins over Wisconsin and Michigan State as BC reached this year's championship game.

Bellefeuille remains Massachusetts' leading high school scorer with 302 points, including 120 goals.
