AGAWAM, Mass. (AP) — Police say three people were seriously injured in a head-on crash over the weekend in Agawam (AG'-ah-wahm).

Lt. Michael DeFilipi tells WWLP-TV (http://bit.ly/1PVQJWO ) that two cars collided at around 3:15 p.m. Saturday.

The victims were rushed to Baystate Medical Center with serious injuries but are expected to survive. They weren't immediately identified.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
